Making a commitment to a new gym is an important decision that you often aren’t ready to make after just one class or a consult. That’s why we’d love to have you in as many times as you’d like for 5 days, on us.
You may have some common questions, like:
- Do I have to be in shape to join?
- What kind of results can I expect?
- How often should I come?
- What membership plan is right for me?
Following your first 5 days, we can determine the next best steps customized to your goals, needs, and fitness level. Either way, this is a great starting point and you will leave here with some great advice.
Most of all, your first visits are a great way to determine if our gym is a good fit for you.

How do I sign up for a free trial?
Schedule your free trial with us by clicking “Free Trial” above. Once signed up, you will be able to reserve your first class.
How long does it take to see results?
Results take time, but if you’re consistent, they will come. If you are a beginner, results will come fairly quickly; even in only 30 days, you may start to see a difference in your strength and overall fitness.
Do I get a chance to meet new friends?
Yes. We like to organize our fitness classes into small groups, as this allows you to meet others.
What set you apart from other gyms?
We are a coaching gym. We believe that with the right guidance and motivation, you will want to keep coming back for more. Anything you do consistently is sure to lead to results. We are here to build each other up – if you win, we all win.
How often do you recommend coming to workout classes?
If you are a beginner, we recommend starting with 2 to 3 classes a week, with the goal of working up to 4 to 5 a week after your first few months. It may take a while for your body to get used to training regularly, so listen to your body and know you will need recovery time between training days.
Do you provide free refreshments there?
We have filtered water avalable to our members. Other snacks and drinks are available for purchase.
Do I have to be fit to join?
No! No matter what your current fitness level is, we have the fitness program that is right for you. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness, and move you toward your goals. Our program is designed for universal scalability, making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.
What payment methods do you accept?
We take all major credit cards and direct debit. We do not accept cash, cheques, or e-transfer.
What kind of exercises can I expect during a workout?
Our class programming will include a strength portion in which you’ll work on something like Olympic weightlifting, deadlifting, squatting, or bodyweight strength, o you may work on a skill like pull-ups or handstand push-ups. After the strength or skill portion of the class is complete, most days will involve a conditioning workout that was programmed for that specific day. Conditioning workouts can be anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes or more.
Do I have to stop eating my favorite foods to be healthy?
No! A healthy lifestyle has to be manageable and realistic for the long term. Do enjoy special indulgences and meals! The healthier you are, the healthier you tend to want to eat. You get hooked on feeling good, and junk food becomes no longer worth the brief satisfaction it provides. By eating more real food and measuring your intake of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, you will see dramatic, measurable increased in health.

I enjoy Kinsley as a coach. She takes the time to pause what i am doing to make corrections often by doing an example. I find that she also takes the time to make sure I either have a plan for my modifications to the work out/giving me a few modification to choose from. As a person new to gym and very out of shape in both fitness and mobility this make me feel welcome and comfortable at Deadset.

Kayla has a way of always making people feel comfortable, and safe, but pushing you if you need a kick in the a**. She always has great substitutions if something is hurting, and is so genuinely happy for you after a workout it’s hard not to love her!
Centrally located in Brandon, one block south of the of the 1st St / Victoria Ave major intersection, steps away from Brandon Regional Health Centre, and between Brandon University and Assiniboine College.
Working out at the gym isn’t easy. But getting there shouldn’t be hard. DeadSet Fitness is located and easily accessible from all of Brandon.
